PCS reaches safety landmark

The Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan’s New Brunswick division reached a safety milestone after working 1 million hours without a lost-time accident, a first in the province’s mining industry.

Three-hundred and forty employees worked in excess of 18 months without a lost-time incident. It is estimated that 10 employees working 40 hours a week would take 48 years to achieve the same result.

General Manager Donald Roberts attributes the accomplishment to good communication and continual safety improvements.
