Papers wanted for Calgary symposium

The faculty of continuing education at the University of Calgary and the Surface Mining Lab of the Canada Centre for Mineral & Energy Technology (canmet) are organizing an International Symposium on Mine Planning and Equipment Selection.

In preparation for this important symposium, to be held Nov 3-4, 1988, those interested in presenting a paper should submit an abstract no later than Jan 30, 1988 to symposium chairman Dr Raj Singhal.

Although the emphasis of the symposium will be on surface mining, underground mining will also be considered, Singhal says.

Selected papers will be printed in a volume published by A. A. Balkema of the Netherlands. That volume will be published prior to the symposium.

Address abstracts to: Dr Raj Singhal, Symposium Chairman, 1 Oil Patch Dr., P.O. Box 1280, Devon, Alta. T0X 1E0.
