Pacific Rim exploring Diablillos

An 11-hole, 2,014-metre drill program has ended on the Diablillos project in northern Argentina.

Owned and operated by Pacific Rim Mining (VSE), Diablillos is a 3,600-hectare epithermal gold-silver prospect in Salta province. Previous drilling by BHP Minerals outlined a drill-inferred resource of 3.9 million tonnes of 2.4 grams gold and 147 grams silver per tonne in the Oculto zone. Pacific Rim is earning an option to acquire all mineral rights. To date, results from three holes have been received:

* Hole 94-1 returned: 2.69 grams gold and 8.6 grams silver per tonne over 6.5 metres; 0.2 grams gold and 193.7 grams silver over 20.2 metres; and 2.3 grams gold and 191.5 grams silver over 61.4 metres.

* Hole 94-3 returned 16.9 metres of 0.2 grams gold and 371.4 grams silver plus 36.8 metres of 2.9 grams gold and 98.2 grams silver.

*n Hole 94-4 intersected 26.8 metres of 3.7 grams gold and 168.2 grams silver. The mineralization, which occurs in a silicified, brecciated zone, extends at least 225 metres in length north-south and 100 metres east-west.
