Over-the-Counter Trading Features (September 08, 1986)

A plan by Blackstone Explorations to sell radon gas detection equipment to households has caught the attention of investors. The issue moved up to 53 cents -58 cents in good volume of more than 250,000 shares. The issue was up more than 25 cents for the week.

Cleyo Resources was also on the plus side, trading at $2.30-$2.40. The company has an underwriting in progress and is applying for a Vancouver Stock Exchange listing. Goldhunter Explorations was also stronger, closing at 55 cents -60 cents . The issue gets listed on the Alberta Stock Exchange this week.

Mount Pleasant Resources continued on its winning ways, trading up to a new high of $6-$7. In early June, this was a 70 cents issue. The company is hoping to win a large settlement from a legal suit brought against several companies.

Portfield Industries made some news by optioning a property near Beardmore, Ont., to another company. The issue closed at 80 cents -90 cents . Skyrocketing platinum prices surprisingly failed to ignite any major buying of Boston Bay Mines, which controls a large undeveloped platinum-palladium deposit north of Thunder Bay, Ont. The issue closed at $4.50-$4.75.
