Several issues made good gains on the over-the-counter markets this week. Hucamp Mines traded up to $1.50. Noranda, which has Hucamp’s Manitouwadge, Ont., property under option, has encountered sulphide mineralization at depth on the property. Although not ore grade, it is deemed encouraging. The Hucamp ground is adjacent to Noranda’s Geco mine.
Canadian Gold Resources perked up a little to 45 cents -50 cents . The company has started a drill program on its gold prospect northeast of Beardmore, Ont. Puissance Corp. was also active, closing at 58 cents -63 cents . The company, which has been busy in the resource sector, recently got involved with an advertising and printing company.
Mirado Nickel Mines finally came to some life, trading at 50 cents -53 cents ; up from 45 cents last week. Mirado holds a royalty interest on the Mirado gold property near Kirkland Lake, Ont. The property has real possibilities for production within two years.
Other stronger issues included Belleterre Quebec Mines at 73 cents -78 cents and Mindfinders Corp. The latter issue, which has been quiet for some time, advanced to 90 cents -$1.
