Over-the-Counter Trading Features (September 29, 1986)

Edda Resources, which has been on a down trend for the past few weeks, continued right off the COATS system after getting hit with a cease trade order for failure to file.

Hardrock Extension, which is busy in the Geraldton camp, Ont., has acquired additional claims tying on to its original property. The issue was steady but quiet at 90 cents -$1.10. Canadian Gold Resources was also marginally active, closing at 38 cents – 43 cents .

Gateford Resources, which is under new control, traded up to 60 cents -70 cents . The company controls a large block of ground, west of Matagami, Que., and east of the Detour Lake mine, which yielded very encouraging drill results last summer. With $1 million of flow through money available, the company is starting a 10,000-ft diamond drilling program in October.

Boston Bay Mines continued to lose some ground, trading at $3.50- $4; off 25 cents for the week. Joint venture partner Madeleine Mines continues to drill their platinum group metals property north of Thunder Bay, Ont.

Two mining issues which have ventured into the world of high tech, were also active. Blackstone Explorations traded up to $1.33- $1.38 while Andover Resources passed the $2 mark.
