OSC rules on Barbour

The Ontario Securities Commission has suspended the personal trading rights in Ontario of Noranda (TSE) officer Wilson Barbour for two years and his trading in securities on behalf of his company’s pension fund for six months. Barbour, vice-president investments with Noranda, reached a settlement with the OSC over allegations connected with alleged securities offences relating to the activities of former securities firm Osler Inc., which went out of business two years ago. Barbour and 23 other people were charged in relation to the Osler allegations.
