Vancouver-based Orvana Minerals (ORV-T) has announced a resource estimate for the Lower Mineralized zone at its Don Mario gold-copper deposit in eastern Bolivia.

Employing geostatistical methods based on 157 holes, including 51 infill holes, Orvana concludes that the zone contains a resource of 802,198 tonnes grading 13.7 grams per tonne in the measured category and 514,404 tonnes of 12.48 tonnes in the indicated category. The deposit also contains 140,453 tonnes grading 14.38 grams in the inferred category.

An underground mining plan in being drafted for the Lower Mineralized zone, and a small open-pit will be excavated to gain access to near-surface portions.
