The first drill results have been received by Orofino Resources (TSE) from the company’s Coronation Gulf gold property in the Northwest Territories. Of four holes completed, the second intersected a 5.9-ft section grading 0.06 oz gold per ton and 2.3 ft assaying 0.064 oz. The fourth hole cut 5.5 ft grading 0.21 oz and 3.4 ft grading 0.15 oz. The other two holes were not completed.
Part of a 10,000-ft drill program, the drill results come from a possible extension of the North Central vein, known as the Eleven vein system. Based on previous exploration data, a geological reserve of 860,000 tons grading 0.22 oz has been outlined in several zones.
Orofino’s partners on the project include Dore-Norbaska Resources (TSE) and Canuc Resources (TSE).
