Orco extracts sample

Preliminary milling results from the Donalda project at Rouyn-Noranda, Que., indicate an average grade of 7.13 grams gold per tonne and a recovery rate of 95%.

The results are from the milling (in a flotation circuit) of 4,966 tonnes of a bulk sample, Orco Resources (ME) reports.

The junior says the global operating cost (including contract mining) was maintained at about $70 per tonne.

The second phase of bulk sampling will involve the treatment of about 12,500 tonnes of material. This will occur at the Norbec mill of Metall Mining (TSE). Orco has an agreement with Donalda owners Metall and Thunderwood Resources (TSE) covering the mining of the property.
