Ontario gives financial aid to CAMESE

The Ontario government will provide $50,000 to the Canadian Association of Mining Equipment and Services for Export (CAMESE) in an effort to improve the organization’s export marketing activities.

“The Ontario government recognizes the contribution of the mining equipment and services sector to northern communities and the provincial economy as a whole,” says Northern Development and Mines Minister Dan Newman.

CAMESE is a nation-wide organization of mining-related exporters, and about 60% of its members are based in Ontario, mainly in the north.

Last year, the provincial government announced it was investing $65,000 in an export-enhancement partnership with CAMESE and the municipality of Sudbury.
