Ontario funding assists APGO

The Ontario government will spend $25,000 to help the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) get off the ground as it begins to register members.

The association became the governing body of the geoscience profession in the province when the Professional Geoscientists Act was passed last year. Under the act, geoscientists who meet the qualifications and abide by the code of ethics will be formally recognized as professional geoscientists.
