Ontario compiles property directory

Ontario’s Ministry of Northern Development and Mines says it will be publishing property directories for each resident geologist’s district to help prospectors market their claims.

The service is being offered free of charge to any prospector who wishes to option, joint venture or sell a property, a government spokesman said at the 12th annual Mines and Minerals Symposium held recently in Timmins, Ont. Each listing will include the name, location and work history of the property, as well as a description of geology and mineralization and any proposals for further work. Copies of the directories will be available at each of Ontario’s resident geologist offices.
