On the Move (January 01, 1991)

William Stanley, a regular contributor to this magazine’s Managing column, has been appointed president-elect of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Stanley is a partner with the Coopers & Lybrand Consulting Group and is director of the firm’s National and International Mining Practices. As well, he is past vice-president of CIM District 6. He will assume office at the CIM’s 93rd annual general meeting, April 28 to May 2, in Vancouver, B.C.

Anthony McKeon has been appointed controller and Michael Malay credit manager of Long-Airdox Co., a U.S. manufacturer of mining equipment. McKeon previously was vice-president, operations, of Powell Industries; Malay was promoted from assistant credit manager at Long-Airdox.

The following appointments have been made to Davis Controls of Oakville, Ont.: Neil Montgomery, vice-president and general manager; Ian Watkinson, vice-president product marketing; Tim Park, technical supervisor, process controls; and Larry Stavnitzky, technical supervisor, factory automation.

Kobie Koornhof has been made manager of business development for the Sandwell Swan Wooster division of Vancouver, B.C.-based Sandwell Inc., an engineering firm involved in mining and other sectors.

Dresser Industries’ Marion division has appointed Doug Ingram manager of account sales with responsibilities for new machinery sales in North America and abroad. Previously, he was Dresser’s regional sales manager covering the western U.S. coal and metal markets.

The following are changes in the marketing management of Komatsu Dresser Co. of Lincolnshire, Ill.: Arlie Tucker, former president of the company’s Haulpak division, is now executive vice-president of Haulpak; Tokihiko (Ted) Hasuo, formerly senior vice-president marketing, returns to Japan as deputy general manager, International division; Robert Brenkman, former vice-president marketing, Haulpak division, is now president of that division; James Butler, former vice-president, parts and service for Haulpak, has been made Haulpak’s vice-president of marketing; and James Ballew, former manager of North American sales, has been named vice-president, parts and service, for Haulpak.
