ON THE MOVE (December 01, 1987)

The new president of Brampton, Ont.-based Marubeni Construction Machinery Canada is Masayuki (Mike) Kataoka. He replaces N. (Bill) Watanube who returns to Tokyo, Japan as deputy general manager of the Construction Machinery Dept. of Marubeni Corp. Bob Barton, former manager of Inco’s process plant in Indonesia, has returned to Thompson, Man. Barton, who was Smelter Superintendent in Thompson from 1977 to 1980 and Manager of the Thompson mill and smelter from 1980 to 1986 is past president of the Thompson Rotary Club. Rene Masse has been elected president for the 1987/88 term of the Canadian Explosives Distributors Association, based in Nepean, Ont. He is manager of Richelieu Explosives in Mont. St. Gregoire, Que.
