Omni launces underground work

An underground development program is under way at Omni Resources’ Skukum Creek gold property in the southern Yukon. A 1,500-ft adit is being driven into what is thought to represent the main gold-silver ore zone.

Surface drilling has outlined a reserve of 418,000 tons in two zones, averaging 0.37 oz gold equivalent. Within that total are some 239,000 tons grading 0.45 oz gold equivalent in the Rainbow zone which will be accessed by the underground prtotal are some 239,000 tons grading 0.45 oz gold equivalent in the Rainbow zone which will be accessed by the underground program.

Drill stations will be cut at various intervals as the mine working advances into the mountain. And the strike and depth continuity of the various vein structures will be tested. The company says several major mining companies have expressed an interest in participating.
