OMET gets advisory committee

The Ontario Mineral Exploration (OMET) program now has a technical advisory committee.

The committee will evaluate proposals and make funding recommendations submitted to OMET, a 4-year, $8-million initiative aimed at fostering research that will develop exploration technologies.

The committee will make its recommendations to a management board consisting of officials from the Ontario Geological Survey, Ontario university geology departments, and the chair of the Ontario Geological Survey advisory board.

The OMET program is to be managed by the Mineral Exploration Research Centre of Laurentian University.
