OGS unveils aeromag data base

The Ontario Geological Survey (OGS) is demonstrating its new aeromagnetic data distribution system at this week’s conference of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.

Data for precise areas of the province are now available on diskette. Data for all of Ontario are on compact disk (CD-ROM).

The OGS has aeromagnetic data collected by the provincial government between 1948 and 1979. It is routinely distributed in the form of contour maps.
