OGS open house set for Dec. 3-4

The Ontario Geological Survey will hold its ninth annual geoscience research seminar and open house Dec 3-4, in the MacDonald Block at Queen’s Park, Toronto.

The event will feature papers on geoscience activities of the OGS and regional staff of the mines and minerals division, Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.

Highlights will include research papers on platinum group elements in Ontario, geoscientific activities in the Western Wabigoon area and the Pickle Lake-Uchi Lake gold belts of northwestern Ontario.

Other papers will include reports on research in mineral deposits geology, precambrian geology, geophysics, geochemistry and engineering and terrain geology.
