J.G.”Jim” Powley, vice-president of Midland Capital Corp. and a broker well known in Toronto’s mining circles, died suddenly March 4. He had just turned 50. Powley, a professional accountant who became interested in the mining industry, entered the brokerage end of the business in 1967 when he joined the firm of T.A. Richardson. In recent years he was actively associated with the firm of Midland Doherty Ltd.
