A former vice-president of the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE), Huntly W. F. McKay, died recently.
Born at Hemmingford, Que., McKay, 64, joined the TSE in 1963. He was vice-president markets and market development when he resigned during the autumn of 1987 after he was diagnosed as having cancer.
A player in the development of futures and options markets, he served as the first president of the Toronto Futures Exchange, which was created in 1984.
Outside of the TSE, McKay served as treasurer of the Presbyterian Church of Canada. He is survived by his wife and three children.
