Edwin Warren, president of Assayers (Ont.) Ltd., died recently in Toronto. He was 73. Warren graduated from the University of Toronto in 1944 in chemistry and mineralogy. He worked for Alcan, both in Arvida, Que., and its Toronto operation.
He acquired Assayers Ltd. in 1966 and then Swastika Laboratories. As well, he opened a Toronto operation under the name Assayers (Ont.) Ltd. Warren sold these firms to Assayers Corp. of Toronto in 1988 when he retired.
