Obituary Colonel Kippen

Colonel Eric Douglas Bruce Kippen, O.B.E., died suddenly on Oct 22. He was 95.

Colonel Kippen served in France in World War I, was commissioned in 1916, wounded and taken prisoner in the Battle of Cambrai in Dec, 1917.

In World War II, he commanded five separate prisoner of war internment camps in Canada.

His business career commenced on Wall Street in New York in 1919. In 1922, he formed his own investment firm in Montreal, Kippen & Company Inc., from which he retired as Director in 1975.
