Obituary Alex Samson

Alex Samson, former treasurer and a director of Campbell Chibougamau Mines (now Campbell Resources) has died in Peterboro, Ont., at age 80.

Mr Samson, who was with Campbell Chibougamau from 1950 to 1979, was the first employee of that company.

Besides his mining interests, he was a noted soccer player and at one time coached Canada’s national soccer team.

Mr Samson is survived by his wife, Bess, three daughters, Sandra, Cathy and Isabel, and six grandchildren.
