Leo MacKenzie, president of MacKenzie Resources, died recently. He was 58. Born in Nova Scotia, Mackenzie held a B.Sc. degree in geology from 0506,0000 St. Francis Xavier University. Companies he had served as geologist or mining engineer include Campbell Chibougamau Mines (1957-62); Patino Mine (1968-73), Rosario Resources (1973-80) and Falconbridge Ltd. (1980-82).
MacKenzie Resources was established in 1982. The company had investigated — for J.S. Redpath Engineering and Nerco Minerals — precious metal production properties in Canada for acquisition.
