The underground workings of the former Independence mine in British Columbia have been reopened by Odessa Explorations and partner Nufort Resources. Located in British Columbia, the property is subject to an option agreement giving Odessa the right to earn a 45% interest in the property. Sampling of dump material by Odessa returned assays up to 0.03 oz gold per ton. Previous drill results returned copper assays up to 4.8% per ton.
In Saskatchewan, Nufort is funding a geophysical program with partner Redstone Resources on their Pistol Lake silver-zinc property. The work may be followed up by drilling.
