NRD signs agreement for more exploration

An agreement covering further exploration of the Pinto gold property located near Val d’Or, Que., has been signed with American Barrick Resources (TSE), Consolidated NRD Resources (VSE) reports.

Barrick and its 50% partner in the venture, VSE-listed Malartic Hygrade Gold Mines (Canada), spent more than $600,000 on surface exploration at the property during the past two years, earning a 27.5% interest in the process. The companies may increase their property interest to 70% by spending an additional $1.1 million by Sept 30, 1989.

An underground exploration program involving the westward extension of a drift at the 750-ft level into NRD’s property, from the adjacent Camflo mine, is planned.
