Early results from a drilling program started Nov 6 by Novamin Resou rces east of Cadillac in northwestern Quebec have returned some good values including one high grade hole.
Of 11 holes drilled on the Tonawanda property, assays have been received from four. Results include the following:
Hole Length Grade
# in feet oz gold/ton 27-1 13.19 0.035
and 4.93 0.169 27-2 5.58 0.067 27-3 2.75 0.083
and 16.17 0.235 27-4 22.96 0.513
Hole 27-4 contained a 3.28-ft section assaying 2.66 oz gold per ton. Cutting this to one ounce results in the average assay for the intersection droping to 0.276 oz across 23 ft.
The Darius joint venture, which covers a variety of properties in the area other than where the current drilling is being done, is owned 51% by Novamin and 49% by St. Joe Canada.
The 11-hole program was designed to follow up on six holes drilled in 1955 by Canadian Malartic Mines.
