Northway ups stake in Jonpol

Recent insider trading transactions reported by the Ontario Securities Commission include the following:

Alamos Minerals (AAS-V) — Chester Millar, director, bought 63,000 shares at 42-75 apiece and was granted 500,000 options, which can be exericsed at 50 each, to hold 189,000 shares and 1 million options; and Leonard Harris, director, was granted 65,000 options exercisable at 58 to hold 200,000 options.

Birim Goldfields (BGI-T) — Jean Rainville, director, exercised 60,000 options at 26 and sold the resulting shares at 43-54 to hold an unspecified number of options and no shares; Lewis Lawrick, director, exercised 30,000 options held indirectly at 30 and sold 7,131 shares indirectly at 32 to hold an unspecified number of options and 167,000 shares indirectly; and Denis Simoneau, director, bought 5,000 shares at 29.5 to hold 311,241 shares.

Canadian Zinc (CZN-T) — John MacPherson, director, bought 42,000 shares at 26 and sold 85,000 shares at 27 to hold 340,436 shares.

Doublestar Resources (DSR-V) — Alan Savage, director and owner of more than 10% of the company, bought 46,500 Class A shares indirectly at 38-49 and sold 30,000 Class A shares at 38-49 to hold nearly 4 million Class A shares.

Jonpol Explorations (JON-T) — Northway Explorations, owner of more than 10%, bought 65,500 shares at 12-16 to hold over 6.7 million shares.

Etruscan Resources (EET-T) — Glen Holmes, director, bought 21,000 shares at 78-$1.13 to hold 301,800 shares; and Gerald McConnell, director, 29,000 shares at 86-88 and another 16,000 shares indirectly at 85 or 87 to hold over 2.5 million shares in all.

Farallon Resources (ELD-T) — Robert Hunter, director, sold 145,724 shares indirectly at 35-43 to hold none indirectly; and Robert Dickinson, director, sold 47,000 shares indirectly at 70 to hold 31,140 shares indirectly.

First Silver Reserve (FSR-V) — Santos Davila, director and owner of more than 10%, exercised 20,000 options at 55 and sold the resulting shares at $1.45-1.55 to hold 635,000 options and over 27 million shares; and Lawrence Barr, director, exercised 20,000 options at an unspecified price and sold the resulting shares at 90-93 to hold 25,000 options and no shares.

Gammon Lake Resources (GAM-T) — Terry Coughlan, director, sold 30,900 shares indirectly at $1.33-1.76 to hold 285,100 shares indirectly; Bradley Langille, director, sold 66,000 shares indirectly at $1.39-1.82 to hold nearly 1.2 million shares indirectly; and Fred George, director, sold 13,000 shares indirectly at $1.47 or $1.70 to hold 821,700 shares indirectly.

Gold Summit Mines (GST-V) — Anthony Roodenburg, director, under a prospectus exemption, bought 200,000 shares at 16 and acquired 100,000 warrants exercisable at an unspecified price to hold nearly 1.2 million shares and 1.5 million warrants.

Lakota Resources (YLA-V) — George Breuler, director, bought 5,900 shares at $2.35-2.50 to hold nearly 1.7 million shares.

Millstream Mines (YLI-V) — Bruce Hauser, director, bought 42,000 shares directly at 7, 192,000 shares indirectly at 5-9 and 100,000 shares indirectly and privately at 10 to hold over 2.2 million shares in all.

NovaGold Resources (NRI-T) — Gerald McConnell, director, sold 31,800 shares at $3.71 or $3.78 to hold 73,707 shares.

Philex Gold (PGI-T) — Deogracias Contreras Jr., deemed an insider, sold 16,671 shares at $1.24 or $1.40 to hold none; and Renato Migrino, deemed an insider, sold 16,671 shares at $1.24 or $1.40 to hold none.

Wolfden Resources (YWO-V) — Jean-Pierre Colin, director, exercised 150,000 options at 35 and sold 60,000 shares at $1.45-1.68 to hold no options and 90,000 shares; and Donald Sheldon, officer, sold 40,000 shares indirectly at 77-92 to hold 62,500 shares in all.
