Northern Dynasty plans follow-up

A joint venture consisting of Northern Dynasty, Westfield Minerals (TSE) and Newfields Minerals (VSE) recently completed a 5,000 ft, six-hole drill program which intersected strong gold values along a broad east-west trending hydrothermal alteration zone. So far the zone has been traced for 1.2 miles along strike.

Mineralization is hosted in a large shear-related alteration zone which is open to the east and west, the joint venture notes. Altogether, seven holes have intersected the zone and the best results included: 20.4 ft of 0.112 oz, 10.5 ft grading 0.16 oz, 6.5 ft averaging 0.14 oz. 3.9 ft of 0.13, and 2.3 ft grading 0.37 oz.

Substantial interests have been acquired in adjacent properties to the south and east from Placer Dome (TSE) and Algoma Steel Holdings. Prospecting, mapping, trenching, and several thousand feet of drilling is planned next.
