Northern Abitibi adds ground (October 29, 2001)

Calgary-based Northern Abitibi Mining (NAI-V) is exploring 13 diamond targets in the Chibougamau area of northern Quebec. The program entails prospecting, surface mapping and till sampling.

The prospects are found on 24 claims comprising totalling 13 sq. km, and more staking is anticipated before the end of fall.

The company is targeting discrete magnetic and electromagnetic signatures, which may represent kimberlitic intrusions in a cratonic environment.
