Northair pulls 91-ft hole of 0.34 oz gold at Willa

Underground diamond drilling by Northair Mines at its Willa property in southeastern British Columbia is continuing to obtain good gold values, President Donald A. McLeod reports.

Hole 87-312 was drilled to the south of the known mineralization within the West zone and returned 91.3 ft of 0.336 oz gold per ton and 0.47% copper.

This intersection is located 100 ft above known ore reserves and should add significantly to the West zone reserves, McLeod says.

Northair is half-way through an 18,000-ft underground drill program which should be completed early in February. In addition to the West zone, a 1,200-ft underground decline has intersected the Main zone, which will be tested by further drilling.

Before the drill program, reserves were 606,000 tons grading 0.22 oz gold, 0.28 oz silver and 1.1% copper. New reserve calculations will be made in February.

Northair’s 300-ton mill from its Squamish area gold mine has been dismantled and is in storage on the Willa property. The project is owned 68% by Northair, with BP- Selco and Rio Algom holding the remainder.
