Nortek gets option on Shenandoah play

Nortek Minerals has acquired an option on a gold property south of Kirkland Lake, Ont. The company has the right to earn a 50% interest in the claims by spending $1 million on exploration. The 3,000-acre property was worked sporadically by Shenandoah Resources, the vendor, a few years ago.

Shenandoah claims the property hosts reserves of 500,000 tons grading 0.32. These are classified as probable-to-inferred.
