Nortek drilling in Kirkland Lake

Nortek Minerals is continuing drilling on claims in the Kirkland Lake area of northeastern Ontario held by Shenandoah Resources and Miller-Independence Mining.

To date 13 holes have been drilled for a total of 3,731 ft, about one-third of the program. Results from the first 10 holes suggest gold values could increase the previously indicated 500,000 tons grading 0.32 oz gold per ton, Nortek says. One hole cut 10.5 ft grading 3.05 oz.

Nortek plans to spend a further $500,000 on the property in 1988.
