Noront pulls more gold at Windfall

Two more drill holes at the Windfall gold property in Urban Twp., northwestern Quebec, have intersected mineralization in the Deep 27 zone.

The holes, by owner Noront Resources (NOT-V), intersected quartz-tourmaline veins with disseminated sulphides at hole depths around 330 to 350 metres, translating to vertical depths of 300 to 330 metres. In one hole, a 15.2-metre intersection averaged 9.1 grams gold per tonne, including a 1.05-metre interval of 10.5 grams per tonne and a 3.45-metre interval of 33.4 grams per tonne, with lower-grade material in between.

The second hole intersected multiple zones of mineralization, including 1.55 metres grading 23.4 grams per tonne and 0.7 metres grading 238.3 grams per tonne. Other intersections ran 0.6 to 1.6 grams.

More drilling is planned for January.
