Noranda, Soquem search for zinc

A minimum 2,000 ft. of drilling on the Leeds property near Thetford Mines, Que., will be conducted by Noranda Exploration and Soquem to test the shallow depth potential of zinc mineralization discovered by surface exploration during the 1992 field season, Ressources Minieres Coleraine (ME) says.

Noranda and Soquem may acquire a joint 51% interest in the property by spending $500,000 on exploration work and by paying Coleraine $100,000 by Dec. 1, 1994.
