Three holes have been completed in the diamond drilling program by Noranda Exploration and International Impala on their Bradley Option property on Newfoundland’s Baie Verte Peninsula.
The drilling concentrated on the Gabbro zone, one of three zones identified in earlier exploration work. Hole 88-l intersected 13.4 ft grading 0.193 oz gold per ton. The second hole gave 10.5 ft grading 0.163 oz, and hole 88-3 gave 10.7 ft of 0.196 oz.
Drilling is continuing on the Gabbro, Main and Sulphide zones. Previous work on the Gabbro, which lies 660 ft northwest of the Main zone, showed values in channels ranging from 0.06 to 1.1 oz across widths up to 30 ft (N.M., Dec 28/87).
Noranda operates the joint venture and International Impala can earn a 50% interest by spending $500,000 on exploration by Dec 31, 1989.
