Noranda/Freewest start joint venture drilling

The property, located in the Harker-Holloway area east of Matheson, Ont., protects a strongly altered zone of mafic volcanic rocks displaying quartz, carbonate and pyrite alteration.

The zone, which has been traced along strike for 1,500 ft, has only been tested by previous drilling to a depth of 600 ft.

The Noranda-operated program will include 10,000-15,000 ft of drilling. Freewest has earned a 32% interest in the property.
