Noranda, Freewest hit

Hole 89-29 intersected 53.1 ft grading 0.21 oz gold per ton from a depth of 1,175 ft. Significantly, the hole was spotted 328 ft west of a hole completed last year which intersected 57.4 ft grading 0.174 oz gold per ton from a similar depth. True widths exceed 30 ft, Mackenzie Watson, president of Freewest, told The Northern Miner. Noranda, the project operator, plans to te st the 1,500-ft-long zone with more than 10,000 ft of drilling.
