QPA delegates look to future The Quebec Prospectors Association (QPA) attracted about 440 delegates to Rouyn-Noranda, Que., this year to its annual convention, theme of which was “Exploring to secure the future.”
Four panelists engaged in a discussion of the theme at a morning session following the QPA annual general meeting.
The environment was another of the topics pursued, with speakers addressing the issue in the context of, among other areas, current government legislation and project feasibility studies.
Topics addressed in the various papers ranged from the state of base metal and gold-mining exploration in the province of Quebec to overseas exploration prospects. Individual mining projects within the province formed the subjects of several papers.
