Junior Rhino Resources (VSE) has finished drilling five holes, totalling 2,000 ft., on the Ned claims near Kamloops, B.C.
The program tested what is believed to be an epithermal zone over a distance of 1,000 ft. Previous work outlined five targets through rock sampling, and geochemical and geophysical surveys. The Ned claims lie southwest of the now largely exhausted Afton copper-gold mine of Teck (TSE). The first hole, drilled at an angle of 60, encountered four mineralized gold intervals between a depth of 323 and 362 ft. These include 8 ft. of 1.87 oz. per ton, 5 ft. of 0.009 oz., 7 ft. of 0.017 oz. and 8 ft. of 0.39 oz. Assays for the remaining holes are pending.
