NEWS ROUNDUP — Reserves at Tonkin Springs double

Minable reserves have more than doubled at the Tonkin Springs gold mine in Nevada.

Gold Capital (NASDAQ) and U.S. Gold (NASDAQ) report that proven and probable reserves for the open-pit mine have risen to more than 956,000 oz. from 418,000 oz. gold.

The calculation was carried out by MPH Consulting of Denver, Colo.

Tonkin Springs comprises 21,000 acres in the Battle Mountain-Cortez trend of central Nevada. The property also contains a US$50-million milling complex.

Gold Capital, operator and 60%-owner of the project, is half-owned by Royalstar (VSE).
