Drilling at the wollastonite property of Ressources Orleans (ME) in St-Onge Twp. in the Lac St-Jean area of Quebec has outlined a preliminary reserve of 8.7 million tonnes.
President Jean-Guy Masse says the W-South zone contains estimated reserves (possible) of 5.6 million tonnes grading 36% wollastonite. The reserves are in a block 500 metres long and 100 metres deep, with a true width of 45 to 98 meters.
Zone W-South is an extension of the first discovery, Zone W, which contains about 3.1 million tonnes (probable). A third area, Zone W-North, is also a target.
