Drilling on the Damoti Lake property north of Yellowknife, N.W.T., has returned additional gold intersections for partners Athabaska Gold Resources (TSE), Consolidated Ramrod Gold (TSE) and Gitennes Exploration (ASE).
Holes D-45 and D-46 intersected the BIF Island gold zone on section 2065 at depths of 100 and 160 ft., respectively.
Hole D-45 returned 19.5 ft. grading 0.25 oz. gold per ton, including a 6.4-ft. intersection grading 0.7 oz.
Hole D-46 encountered 18.2 ft. grading 0.15 oz., including 6.9 ft. grading 0.28 oz.
A synclinal fold structure is believed to control the high-grade gold mineralization in the BIF Island zone and a second rig has been moved to the property to trace the mineralization down-plunge to the north. Consolidated Ramrod is earning a 51% interest from Athabaska while Gitennes holds a 25% working interest.
