Montreal-listed Mispec Resources and its Indonesian joint-venture partner, Hunamas Putra Interbuana, will receive training from the Research and Development Centre for Geotechnology of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences.
An agreement provides for technical and training co-operation between the companies and the agency at the Jampang gold property, 150 km south of Jakarta. Mispec is earning a 30% interest in the property by funding US$2 million in exploration, and may buy another 15% at a later date (T.N.M., Jan. 8/96).
Dr. S. Suparka, director of the Institute of Sciences, and John Nainggolan, chairman of Hunamas Putra Interbuana, are expected to be elected to Mispec’s board of directors in February.
Drilling is in progress.
