NEWS ROUNDUP — Freewest to drill Golden Ridge

Based on encouraging results from trenching, Freewest Resources Canada (FWR-M) is preparing to drill-test its wholly owned Golden Ridge property, which straddles the Maine-New Brunswick border.

Trenching has focused on the Poplar Mountain prospect in New Brunswick, where 12 gold showings were previously identified. Results from this work include 1.2 grams gold across 28 metres, and 1.8 grams over 60 metres. Meanwhile, in Maine, several gold anomalies were identified north of Poplar Mountain. Prospecting in the region resulted in the discovery of a massive sulphide target.
