High-grade copper-bearing float has been uncovered by Freewest Resources (TSE) in the Bathurst mining camp of northern New Brunswick.
The company says several sub-angular boulders of chloritic mudstone (1-2 ft. in diameter) containing heavily disseminated and semi-massive chalcopyrite were found in the Indian Lake-44 Mile Brook area about 50 miles west-southwest of Bathurst.
Copper grades obtained from the semi-massive mineralization assayed up to 13.6%, and heavily disseminated style of mineralization assayed up to 6.1%. Freewest plans a drilling program to start immediately. Freewest’s ground position in the 44 Mile Brook area totals 114 mineral claims comprising three claim groups.
