News Roundup — Excellon gains copper project

Junior Excellon Resources (VSE) has entered into an agreement with privately owned Columbia Metals Reactivation, allowing it to earn up to a 50% interest in the 12,000-acre Guerrero Ranch property in Mexico’s Sonora state.

The property is 15 miles northwest of Cananea, one of the world’s five largest porphyry copper systems. It is also near Cominco’s (TSE) Maria copper-molybdenum mine and the Maraquita mine.
