NEWS ROUNDUP — Eden Roc drills at Anuiri mine

By drilling on its gold project in Ivory Coast, Eden Roc Mineral (TSE) hopes to be able to confirm reserves and thereby triple production.

Eden Roc has a 68% interest in Societe des Mines d’Afema, owner of the Anuiri open pit which is near the Ghana border. Eden Roc, the operator, wants to increase production to 100,000 oz. per year within three years. The current mining rate is 1,100 tons of ore per day grading 0.11 oz. gold per ton with a cutoff of 0.04 oz.

The company says preliminary results from 1,692 ft. of drilling indicate the continuation, to a depth of 100 ft., of grades and widths which resemble those encountered in earlier programs.
