NEWS ROUNDUP — Cyprus, Ogy hit gold at Fenelon

Five of six holes on the northwestern quarter of the Fenelon Twp. property in northwestern Quebec have intersected gold-copper vein mineralization. According to operator Cyprus Canada, the best intersections include 6.7 metres that averaged 42.6 grams gold per tonne in Hole 94-4 and half a metre that ran 40.7 grams in Hole 94-5.

The project is a joint venture between Cyprus (55%) and Toronto-listed Ogy Petroleums (45%).

The mineralization is hosted within ultramafic and mafic volcanics and appears to be similar to that found at the Detour Lake mine, 75 km to the west.

Line cutting and geophysics will be carried out before additional drilling is done.
